TAFT U15 back on track!

On a hot Saturday evening the TAFT U15 traveled to Espoo to take on the Wolverines. Both teams were 1-1 and looking to stay in the playoff hunt.  On this day, TAFT would be better, jumping out to a dominating 38-0 halftime lead and ultimately cruising to a 42-24 victory.

This was a game of power as TAFT decided to go back to basics and run the ball. Having a 100-yard rusher is a great thing but having two 100-yard rushers is special. Both Arttu Partanen and Santeri Lindfors easily topped that mark with Lindfors scoring three touchdowns. Behind the great blocks of Santeri Saastamoinen, Basti Uusitalo and Niko Timoskainen, Jasper Lindqvist would power in two touchdowns, as well. Julius Pellinen would score the other TAFT TD.

The TAFT defense was rock solid, especially in the first half, as they shut out the Wolverines. Leo Auvinen, Ossi Piirainen, Lauri Snellman and Peetu Lahtinen, among others, would all do their part on defense.

This Saturday, May 28, at 17:00 in Tikkurila, TAFT will host the first-place Seinäjoki Crocodiles, who are averaging 70 points a game.  We invite you to come and support the young men in their battle for first place!
